My education and experiences

I have always had a furry companion beside me. Starting my work in tourism in Berlin, I made my passion of nature and animals my profession and did my bachelor’s in biology in Vienna, Austria. During my Bachelor studies I got involved in research on dogs and wolves. My life took an unexpected turn, and I worked at the Wolf Science Center in Austria where I raised, trained, and lived with dogs and wolves. Here, we studied dog and wolf behavior, cognition, and cooperation. During my time in Austria, I did a dog trainer education at a Dog Therapy school. At the same time, I resocialized rescue dogs and worked in a dog training school with family dogs.

After a few years, I got involved in the Dog Wolf Project at Stockholm University, where I continued my passion, education, and research on social behavior of dogs and wolves. For seven years, I raised and lived with European and North American wolves and a variety of dog breeds, including Alaskan Huskies. From this moment on my best friend Lennon (my first Alaskan Husky) accompanied me and we started our adventure together. Our adventures have taught me a lot about canine behavior and many other life lessons. My journey took another unexpected turn as it led me to the remote wilderness of northern Sweden, where I’ve lived and worked with sled dogs for several years. I fell in love with the Swedish culture and nature and moved to Kiruna where I worked with sled dogs. I felt for the outstanding performance and beautiful souls above the Arctic Circle.
